This is the latest version of the survival action
adventure game "Disaster Report Series" for PSP®s, in which the player
survives through wisdom, bravery and consideration to others.
Story
Naoki Kosaka, the hero of the game, is riding on an overnight
bus on a highway at dawn. He is thinking of the new college life that
he will start when he enters a college on Central Island in April. The
bus is going into the undersea tunnel leading to the central terminal
on Central Island.
When the bus reaches the middle of the tunnel, a large earthquake occurs.
He manages to get off the bus in the tunnel filled with smoke. He then
helps a nurse named Saki Honjo, who is on her way to the mainland.
Can Naoki and Saki escape from the disaster?
Game Play
1. An invisible enemy: "Earthquake"
Throughout the game an invisible enemy in the form of
an earthquake attacks the player.
The player confronts fear brought on by the earthquake, such as intermittent
aftershocks, collapsing ground, and danger of fire to try and survive.
2. Mental state; a key factor
Mental states such as stress and relaxation are displayed
in the "psychological gauge", and the level of the gauge is reflected
in the power of the hero; stress caused by worry and fear will decrease
the energy of the hero.
3. Hero´ s character determined by player
The hero´ s character changes according to the characteristics
the player selects for the hero´ s dialogues and behaviors. The hero´ s
character greatly influences game play response to the disaster.
4. An on-going human drama
A human drama unfolds in extreme situations. The hero´ s
character and behavior are all up to you.
5. Useful disaster manual
As the story unfolds, the player is provided with a "disaster
manual". The manual is useful for overcoming events occurring in the
game, and may also be useful in the event of a real disaster. The manual
is produced under the supervision of Minoru Watanabe, a journalist specializing
in disasters.
6. 4 player multiple play
This is the first version of the game to include a multi-player
mode (AdHoc Mode). Players experience the impact of the earthquake and
then cooperate with each other by sharing search efforts and combining
strengths to move objects pinning victims. All while coping with fear
in a city that is being destroyed.
